2007 "Romania: too good to stay away" Having visited Romania in 2004 and 2005, we determined to go back before its new membership of the EU destroys its uniqueness. Almost all of the following photos were taken using a Canon 850 IS, and tidied up using Photoshop Elements 3. The Canon is an excellent little camera, with quite a wide angle lens (28 mm equivalent). It is prone to barrel distortion at wide angle, but fits easily into a shirt pocket. I took it everywhere. All these shots have been reduced to 800 X 600 pixels, and subject to heavy JPEG compression (in consideration of viewers without a broadband connection). There is much more detail in the original. Comments and queries are welcomed.
